Scenario: Reading Workshop

This Reading E-workshop is an adaptation from the "Books Alive" workshop conducted in 2014 

Timeline

Week 1: Feedback form suggestion

Week 2: Preparing E-prints to spread awareness

Week 3/4: Filming and uploading of video and slides for workshop

Week 4/5: Feedback, Followup and Q&A

Week 1: Feedback Form Suggestions

Context: Parents have suggested reading based on feedback from previous workshops

  • Workshop committee to send out consent form to parents on the upcoming workshop

  • Workshop committee give options on what parents can choose to learn

  • Agreement is already on Reading workshop

Week 2: Spreading Awareness

  • Workshop Committee are to start preparing materials on specific dates to help raise awareness about the Reading Workshop (E-brochure, E-teasers, E-posters)

  • Workshop Committee to start outlining video Reading Workshop content and prepare guide (Google Slides) for workshop

Week 3/4: Filming and Uploading

  • Workshop Committee to start filming and editing Reading E-workshop 

  • Workshop Committee to upload the E-workshop video and google slides / PowerPoint (ppt) using google drive

  • Workshop committee to share google drive folder to the parents

Week 4/5: Feedback, Follow-up, Q&A

  • Workshop Committee to respond to any questions posed by parents (be it in email or when face to face)

  • Workshop Committee to garner feedback for the current workshop and potential suggestions for the next through Google Forms

  • Teachers to check for parental attendance through the parents’ documentation using Padlet to reflect on whether parents completed one of the follow up activities (Teachers will send out the unique link to parents and only for parents)
