Principal Feedback

After showing our Proposal, the principal had offered us some feedback as well as some suggestions crafted together to improve our Recommendation

Intellectual Property (IP)

As the E-workshop is pre-recorded, there is a possibility that parents will download and share with friends. In addition, people from the Early Childhood Industry would also be able to identify what the school is doing. This leads to a lack of protection of the school's own property as others could easily copy the E-workshop

Suggestion

  • Restriction of downloading: On Google Drive, it is possible to restrict other parties from downloading the content in the Drive folder

  • Set timings for access to the folder: To prevent leakage, the workshop team can choose to set timings for parents to view the workshop and take down after the timing

  • Email Invitation: Add parent's personal email as a participant, preventing others from accessing the link

Parent interactions

Parents usually look for interactions in workshops. E-workshops should be based around topics that parents would require little interaction with teachers. Eg. Reading Workshops is more effective face to face. Parents may also lose interest due to it being online as they basically follow.

Suggestion

  • Skype Conference: To enhance the workshop, doing a proper live whereby parents view and at the same time can interact with the teachers while the workshop is conducted will be good

  • A live Q & A: As the E-Workshop is being conducted, having a way whereby parents could ask questions as they watch per session

  • Identify Topics that require little interaction: Information about curriculum is an example
